Keith was HR/Change Director at Bradford Council for ten years to 2002 and throughout this period he was a full member of the council's management team. During his time at Bradford, Keith operated on many national HR and public sector bodies and he became President of SOCPO (now PPMA - Public Sector People Managers' Association) in 2001/2.

He moved into consultancy in 2002 and was appointed CIPD (Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development) Vice President for Diversity as well as being invited to join the Government's Age Advisory Group, a body set up to advise on the introduction of age discrimination legislation and the subsequent removal of the Normal Retirement Age.

Keith operates with a number of leading UK consultancies as well as providing a bespoke service to organisations. He was elected a Chartered Companion of the CIPD in 2004.

Experience and skills

Keith has a wealth of experience on HR, Diversity and Change Management issues. Since moving into consultancy, he has operated on a wide range of HR projects across local authorities and other public sector bodies. He has provided retained advice to a number of organisations and he both  chairs and speaks at national and international HR events.  His key strengths include

City of York Council
Keith assisted the City of York Council with the production of a revised and updated Workforce Strategy to cover the period 2011 - 2015. He has also been retained to provide the Chief Executive with occasional strategic HR advice.

Keith is retained by RIG - a London based strategy and execution firm - who assist emerging tech-based companies take their solutions to new markets. Keith helps to acquaint clients with the UK public sector.

Yorkshire HR Directors Forum

Keith is a member of the organising team behind the regional HR networking body known as The Yorkshire HR Directors Forum. He assists with chairing the meetings and helps to source nationally known speakers for the Forum.

HR Governance
Leeds University Union

Keith is an external member of the LUU HR and Remuneration Committee. This is a four year term with the prime responsibility being to ensure that the HR Strategy of LUU meets the needs of the organisation.
